Baumer's new
Series 09 ultrasonic sensors can detect very small
objects in openings with small diameters.
The Series 09 ultrasonic sensors are equipped with a
special nozzle which allows them to measure into
openings of a minimum of 3 mm in diameter. Thanks to the
rectangular housing with a width of only 9 mm, they are
ideally suited for applications with limited space and
can be cascaded. The resulting parallel measurement and
the short response time of 7 ms lead to shorter process
times. The electrical outputs range from analog and
digital to serial or IO-link. Detection is independent
of color and transparency. Resolution of up to 0.1 mm is
possible.
Although the Series 09 ultrasonic sensors were
originally developed for laboratory automation they can
be used in many different industries. E.g. small
capsules and tablets can be detected reliably when
inserted into blister packaging. The Series 09
non-contact ultrasonic sensors can detect multicolored
or transparent objects failure-free, which ensures
long-term high quality packaging processes.
