Baumer's new capacitive sensor CFAK 12 detects the fill level of fluids with high conductivity.
The capacitive fill level sensor is particularly well suited for the use in soiled media. The special, mushroom-headed housing and the plane plastic surface prevent dirt particles from adhering to the sensor and therefore guarantee a trouble-free detection. Additionally, the integrated compensating electrode reliably suppresses dirt as well as detergent residues. As a result, the CFAK 12 capacitive sensor detects electrically conductive media reliably despite a high degree of contamination.
The extensive cleaning effort that is necessary in conventional solutions is reduced considerably. Furthermore, the very robust housing is beneficial in applications with automatic cleaning. It is resistant to detergents and provides for a long service life of the sensor.
